How Comeback Season handles your information

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This policy explains that in full, including the few places where Apple — not us — is involved. It applies to the Comeback Season app published by The Wee Company on the Apple App Store.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not operate a server for this app, we do not receive any data from your device, and we do not use any third-party analytics, advertising or attribution service. The app contains no advertising identifier and does not track you across other apps or websites.

What the game stores on your device

The game saves your progress in its own private storage on your device so you can put it down and pick it up again. That save includes:

  • the name you gave your group, your fandom, and your group’s members;
  • a trainee you designed yourself, if you made one;
  • your progress through a campaign: the cycle you are on, your statistics, your chart positions, and the decisions you have made;
  • your record across campaigns: how many you have finished and the groups on your wall of fame;
  • whether you have unlocked the full game.

This information never leaves your device by our doing, and we cannot read it. It is held in the app’s private container, which no other app can see. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Because it sits in your app’s data, it may be included in your own iPhone backup if you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer — that backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple’s terms, not ours.

Names and other text you type

You can type names into the game. Those names are stored on your device with the rest of your save and are never transmitted anywhere. Because the game is fiction, please do not enter real personal details — your own or anyone else’s — as a group or member name.

Apple services the game uses

Three parts of the game reach Apple. In each case Apple is the one handling the information, under Apple’s own privacy policy, and each is optional. Apple’s privacy policy.

  • Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, the game submits your best chart position, your peak fandom and your achievements to Apple’s leaderboards so they can be ranked. That is the only information submitted, it is not sent to us, and we never see your Apple Account. If you are not signed in, nothing is submitted and the game plays exactly the same. You can turn Game Center off in Settings.
  • Purchases. The full game unlock is a single purchase handled entirely by the App Store. Apple processes the payment. We never see or receive your name, address, or card details — only a receipt, checked on your device, saying the purchase is valid. Restoring a purchase asks Apple, not us.
  • Notifications. If you allow notifications, they will be used only to tell you about app updates and new game modes. Notifications are optional, nothing in the game requires them, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.

The game also links out to Apple’s standard licence terms, which opens in your browser.

Children

Comeback Season is a general audience game and is not directed at children under 13. It has no account, no chat, no user-to-user contact and no advertising, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Purchases require the device owner’s payment method, and parents can restrict or approve them using Apple’s Screen Time and Ask to Buy features.

Sharing and selling

We have no personal information to share, and we do not sell information to anyone. We do not disclose anything to third parties, because there is nothing to disclose.

Your rights

Australian privacy law gives you the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted. In our case the answer is that The Wee Company holds none. The information the game creates is on your device and under your control: deleting the app removes it, and you can start a new group at any time from the home screen to clear a run.

If you have a question or a complaint about privacy, write to us at the address below and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the game does something this policy does not describe — an online season played against other people would be the obvious example — we will update this policy before that version is released, and the date above will change. This policy describes the app as it is published today.

Comeback Season is made by The Wee Company, in Australia. If anything here is unclear, or you think the game is doing something this page does not describe, write to hello@theweecompany.com.au and we will answer.
